opportunities to join us in loving Santa Fe

Our Ministries

  • Raven's Basket

Raven's Basket is the name of our ministry when we create homeless care packages for our homeless for every major holiday. We figure the homeless would be in the most need for a meal and a few other items when everyone else is enjoying a holiday. We started with providing food around Christmas time, but now we try to provide support for holidays during the year.

We'd love for you to join us baking, cooking, providing supplies, or packing the bags and going out to deliver them. Keep an eye out for the events on our calendar, or you can always find out when the next event is by sending us an email.

  • Silver Horizons

We have a wonderful relationship with Silver Horizons. They run and organize  a monthly grocery store popup for low income seniors 50+ here in our education building. We are serving around 100 people the 4th Saturday of every month and we are in need of more volunteers. You can help restock the shelves in our education building; of course, but you can also help each person who comes to receive the free food and supplies with their shopping and delivering it out to their cars. If you'd like to help please contact the church and we can connect you to Silver Horizons volunteer support.

  • St. Elizabeth's Homeless Shelter

We provide a meal for 40 people the second Thursday of every month. We are always looking for help with cooking and delivering these meals to those staying at St. Elizabeth's shelter. If you'd like to help us with this amazing ministry of loving others, send us an email and we can connect you to the leader of this ministry.

  • New Mexico Ramp Project

Zia UMC and St. John's UMC partners with the New Mexico Ramp Project to build much needed ramps for free to clients that are in need of safe access to their homes. If you'd like to join us in making a huge difference in the lives of those in need of an ADA met ramp. We are sending out teams all the time to, asses, build, and assemble the ramps to those in the Santa Fe area. For more information about the NMRamp Project, click here
