The people of Zia UMC
Local Missions:
- Community Closet –
collecting slightly used or new clothing: Most often needed, tube socks, clean underwear, bluejeans and coats for Men, Women and Children.
- 4 Days 4 Others helps people in the community with minor home repairs
- H2O Youth in the church making bags of food to hand out to people in need
- Provide the McFadden scholarship at SF Community College
- Participate in the Interfaith Community Shelter Group winter
shelter program for homeless men, women & children
- We are a Safe Haven facility
Food Ministries:
- The Second Thursday of the month, we
prepare and deliver dinner for 40 men to St. Elizabeth's shelter on Alarid St.
- Work at the Food
Depot, delivering food to various food pantries
- Provide and serve food to homeless folks at SFROC homeless shelter on Cerrillos Rd.
Prison Ministries:

- Visitation: Weekly visits to the State Penitentiary for Bible Study and
prayer.
- Yearly Christmas Caroling at the State Penitentiary
- Monthly visits to Grants Women's Prison

- Kairos: A weekend long spiritual journey of renewal for the
women at Grants Women's Prison
